22A - Elevator Pitch No. 3

The link: https://youtu.be/IHvlvtpBQQU

Feedback/Reflection: On the other video, I received little feedback from my peers so I had Professor Pryor provide some critical feedback.  The feedback I received was that I didn't really state the problem and I also didn't specify what my solution is.  A student noted that I spoke a little too slow.  I thought all of these were accurate and I took these into account to better prepare for my elevator speech.
I probably recorded over 15 takes just because I wanted to have my speech memorized and appear natural.  I also wanted to successfully implement the constructive feedback that I received from Professor Pryor and my fellow colleague.  I am definitely more comfortable in front of the camera and the pitch itself is better.

  1. Hello Matthew,

I found your idea interesting. I think it could definitely work in the right demographic. You mentioned that you'd launch in your home area, but didn't specify. Also, if you ever get more time for your pitch, try to specify the additional features you'd get with each new tier. This may not be directly the same thing that you're pitching but I know that some people add Kodi (a media player platform) to Amazon Fire TV sticks and sell them for twice the cost when they can install Kodi themselves if they knew a little bit about tech. Just saying that I'm not sure of the difficulty of accessing streaming services and if your company would be successful in all areas, so definitely find those that are not techy! I liked the pitch and I definitely think that you addressed all of your feedback.

  2. Hey Matthew!
I love your idea! I think it can be revolutionary in the TV industry. It has the chance to kill and compete with major tv companies. I think you should make sure you look at the legality and contract for this streaming service, because you do not want to grow this business just to get hit with a major lawsuit. If it works it is amazing!
    Great pitch!
